Staff members of Moore-Cortner Funeral Homes are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.

Mr. Bob Cortner Owner/Funeral Director & Embalmer

Bob Cortner purchased Moore Funeral Home in 1966 from Mrs. Watson Moore and changed the name to Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Bob attend the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science where he obtained his funeral director and embalmer's license.

1966 was a momentous year for Bob. Besides purchasing the funeral home, he was married to June Gentry. They have one son, Jim who is also a Funeral Director and Embalmer. Jim works with his dad at the funeral home.

Jim Cortner was born and raised in Winchester, Tennesse. Jim graduated Franklin County High School and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, Georgia and obtained his degree in funeral servce. He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.

Jim is a member of the Winchester Masonic Lodge where he is a 32nd degree Master Mason and Shriner. He and his wife, Holly have one son, Robert and they live in Winchester. They are members at the Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Holly brings years of leadership and an unmatched level of compassion to the team here at Moore-Cortner and Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Homes as our Chief Operations Officer.
Holly is married to Jim Cortner and has one son named Robert. Her parents are Bill and Rebecca Pyron of Winchester and her grandparents are Skip and Martha Parks of Fayetteville. Holly enjoys living in Winchester and is a member of Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She enjoys spending time with family and friends and invites you to stop by and visit with her.

Casey brings several years of local funeral home experience to the families that we serve. He is a graduate of Franklin County High School, Motlow State Community College and Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science.

Casey lives in Winchester with wife Jennifer and their two daughters Adalynn & Alanna. He is the son of Lisa (Mark) Limbaugh and Curtis Jackson and the Grandson of Bill and Mildress Harris.
Casey serves on the Winchester Development Program as Board Member, The Winchester Design Review Committee, the Franklin County Soccer Association as the referee administrator and was the head soccer coach for Franklin County High School. He enjoys family, refereeing soccer and basketball, hunting and the outdoors.

Jennifer adds great value to our families by way of years of local service in the funeral industry. She is a graduate of Franklin County High School and John A. Gupton Mortuary College.
Jennifer lives in Winchester with husband Casey and their two daughters Adalynn & Alanna. She is the daughter of Joretta Goins and Donald (Karen) Jones and the granddaughter of Elmer and Edna Goins and Kenneth and Marlene Jones.

Jennifer serves as Board Member of the Franklin County Raise A Reader program.

Tyler Womack Apprentice Funeral Director and Embalmer tyler@moorecortner.com

Tyler is proud to serve our families as apprentice funeral director and embalmer. His enthusiasm and desire to learn allows him to better serve the familes he embraces. 

Tyler resides in Decherd and is the proud son of April Partin and Josh Womack. He enjoys driving his race car, football, fishing and hunting.  He invites you to stop by and shake his hand anytime you are in town.

Martha has been employed at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home since 1989 and serves as Office Manager. She is a Franklin County native and graduated from Franklin County High School. She also attended Motlow Community College and is a member of the Cowan First Baptist Church.

She has two children, Josh and Melissa, and a grandson, Xander. Martha and her husband, David, reside in Winchester.

Scot Bradford Family Services Counselor~Apprentice Funeral Director~Franklin Memorial Gardens Manager-Certified Celebrant

Scot is very excited to serve our families with a specialized focus on Cemetery and Monuments. He takes great pride in helping families through very difficult times. Scot joined the Moore-Cortner family in 2015 and is also a licensed insurance agent for the State of Tennessee.

Scot is a native of Franklin County and attended Huntland High School. He and his wife of 19 years-Erica, and son-Weber live in Winchester. Scot enjoys playing golf, reading and attending church at Kings Cross in Tullahoma. 

Scot invites you and your family to stop and allow him to make a new friend and learn how he can serve you the way you deserve.

Brenda Taylor is our non-licensed Personalization Specialist. Brenda currently lives in Winchester with her husband, Charles, and they have one son, Eric.

She is a member of "The House of Prayer" in Decherd and considers her role here as part of her ministry.

Brenda brings a very valuable level of experience in the Senior Care Industry and loves to help families memorialize their loved-one through the personalization process. Brenda invites you to stop by and say "hi" at any time convenient.

Reverend Todd Coutta is very proud to serve our families as Support Staff and Chaplain and began his career here in 1994.  Todd resides in Winchester and is thankful for his wife: Alanna, Daughters; Susie and Brianna, Step-Son: Brandon and twin Grand Daughters: Savanah and Makayla. 

Todd enjoys helping people, fishing, kayaking, shooting and flying drones.  He is a board certified Pastoral Counselor and always counts it a privilege to chat with the kind folks he encounters on a daily basis.

Rev. Rudy Wilkinson Support Staff & Chaplain

Brother Rudy currently serves as Greeter and Staff Chaplain for Moore-Cortner and has been with us since 2003. He is currently also the Pastor at "Way of The Cross" Baptist Church in Winchester and has been in the ministry for over 25 years.

Brother Rudy graduated from Tullahoma High School and currently lives in Tullahoma with his wife, Vechel Wilkinson. Together, they have two sons and one daughter. Brother Rudy enjoys woodworking and handshaking so be sure to stop by and give him the chance to shake your hand soon.

Pamela Jackson Hostess (non-licensed)

Pamela Jackson is proud to serve our families as a Hostess. Her energized yet empathetic personality allows her to extend the Moore-Cortner difference to everyone she greets. 
Pam is native to Winchester and is the proud Mother of Melanie Martin of Murfreesboro and Jeff Tate of Huntland. She attends church at Riva Lake Baptist and enjoys playing the piano and singing in a gospel quartet.

Suzanne Fanning Hostess

Suzanne is the Hostess (non-licensed) at our Jennings Moore-Corter Funeral Home in Lynchburg, TN. She attended school at Moore County High School and enjoyed 28 years working at Harlan's Flowers in Lynchburg. Suzanne is proud to call Moore County home and attends church at Liberty Hill Church of Christ. She is married to Clay Fanning. Together, they have two children (Lacy Ivey and Clint Fanning) and Grandchildren.

Mark is proud to serve as a Greeter for the families of our Jennings-Moore-Cortner location. He is a Lynchburg resident and also serves as Fire Chief for the Metro Moore County Fire Department.
He is married to Lisa Neal and they have a daughter named Kari who is married to Trey Bell and a son named Devin.
Mark and Lisa attend church at Marble Plains Baptist Church and they enjoy traveling and spending time with grandchildren: Gavin Donegan, Ryker Bell and Averlee Bell.

Marie Wiser Hostess

Marie is proud to serve as Hostess for our Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home location in Lynchburg, TN. Marie has been a part of the Moore-Cortner Family since 2003. Marie went to Lincoln County High School. She attends church at Marble Plains Baptist and is widely known as an accomplished cook in the Lynchburg area.

Marie lives in Lynchburg with her husband Horace and have two daughters and several grandchildren.

Ted Hammon Manager of Winchester Monument Company (non-licensed)

Ted started in the monument business in 2007 and brings a very rich level of experience, dedication and leadership to the forefront of customer service for Winchester Monument Company. He prides himself on satisfying each family we serve and loves being creative in personalizing every monument produced.

Ted currently lives in Winchester, TN and has two daughters. He has been a parrot farmer since 2007 and also enjoys gold and gem mining all over the southern states.

Kevin Simmons Monument Graphic Designer (non-licensed)

Kevin provides the creative talent needed to produce the beautiful monuments for the area cemeteries. He uses modern technology to create markers that pay tribute to lost loved ones all over the Mid-South and has a long history in the funeral business dating back to 1998. He attended Franklin County High School, Tennessee Law Enforcement Academy, Hunter Engineering and Cochran's School of Monument Design.

Kevin currently lives in Huntland, TN and attends Church at Huntland United Methodist with his wife, Sarah, and their two children. Kevin enjoys golf, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Michael Clark Grounds Superintendent & Grave Services Manager (non-licensed)

"Mike" proudly serves as the Grounds Superintedent & Graves Services Manager. He has been in the funeral industry for over thirty years and has devoted a significant amount of that time to Moore-Cortner. 

Mike is native to Franklin County and currently lives in Belvidere, TN and enjoys hunting.
