Bob Cortner

Owner, Funeral Director & Embalmer

Bob Cortner purchased Moore Funeral Home in 1966 from Mrs. Watson Moore and changed the name to Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Bob attend the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science where he obtained his funeral director and embalmer’s license.

1966 was a momentous year for Bob. Besides purchasing the funeral home, he was married to June Gentry. They have one son, Jim who is also a Funeral Director and Embalmer. Jim works with his dad at the funeral home.

Jim Cortner

Owner, Funeral Director & Embalmer –

Jim Cortner was born and raised in Winchester, Tennesse. Jim graduated Franklin County High School and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, Georgia and obtained his degree in funeral servce. He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.

Jim is a member of the Winchester Masonic Lodge where he is a 32nd degree Master Mason and Shriner. He and his wife, Holly have one son, Robert and they live in Winchester. They are members at the Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Holly Cortner

Chief Operations Officer & Apprentice Funeral Director –

Holly brings years of leadership and an unmatched level of compassion to the team here at Moore-Cortner and Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Homes as our Chief Operations Officer.
Holly is married to Jim Cortner and has one son named Robert. Her parents are Bill and Rebecca Pyron of Winchester and her grandparents are Skip and Martha Parks of Fayetteville. Holly enjoys living in Winchester and is a member of Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She enjoys spending time with family and friends and invites you to stop by and visit with her.

Casey Jackson, CCO

Funeral Director, Certified Crematory Operator, Notary –

Casey brings several years of local funeral home experience to the families that we serve. He is a graduate of Franklin County High School, Motlow State Community College and Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science.

Casey lives in Winchester with wife Jennifer and their two daughters Adalynn & Alanna. He is the son of Lisa (Mark) Limbaugh and Curtis Jackson and the Grandson of Bill and Mildress Harris.

Casey serves on the Winchester Development Program as Board Member, The Winchester Design Review Committee, the Franklin County Soccer Association as the referee administrator and was the head soccer coach for Franklin County High School. He enjoys family, refereeing soccer and basketball, hunting and the outdoors.

Jennifer Jackson, CCO

Funeral Director, Embalmer, Certified Crematory Operator, Notary –

Jennifer adds great value to our families by way of years of local service in the funeral industry. She is a graduate of Franklin County High School and John A. Gupton Mortuary College.
Jennifer lives in Winchester with husband Casey and their two daughters Adalynn & Alanna. She is the daughter of Joretta Goins and Donald (Karen) Jones and the granddaughter of Elmer and Edna Goins and Kenneth and Marlene Jones.

Jennifer serves as Board Member of the Franklin County Raise A Reader program.

Martha Johnson

Office Manager & Notary –

Martha has been employed at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home since 1989 and serves as Office Manager. She is a Franklin County native and graduated from Franklin County High School. She also attended Motlow Community College and is a member of the Cowan First Baptist Church.

She has two children, Josh and Melissa, and a grandson, Xander. Martha and her husband, David, reside in Winchester.

Scot Bradford

Family Services Counselor, Apprentice Funeral Director, Franklin Memorial Gardens Manager, & Certified Celebrant

Scot is very excited to serve our families with a specialized focus on Cemetery and Monuments. He takes great pride in helping families through very difficult times. Scot joined the Moore-Cortner family in 2015 and is also a licensed insurance agent for the State of Tennessee.

Scot is a native of Franklin County and attended Huntland High School. He and his wife of 19 years-Erica, and son-Weber live in Winchester. Scot enjoys playing golf, reading and attending church at Kings Cross in Tullahoma.

Scot invites you and your family to stop and allow him to make a new friend and learn how he can serve you the way you deserve.

Brenda Taylor

Personalization Specialist (non-licensed) –

Brenda Taylor is our non-licensed Personalization Specialist. Brenda currently lives in Winchester with her husband, Charles, and they have one son, Eric.

She is a member of “The House of Prayer” in Decherd and considers her role here as part of her ministry.

Brenda brings a very valuable level of experience in the Senior Care Industry and loves to help families memorialize their loved-one through the personalization process. Brenda invites you to stop by and say “hi” at any time convenient.

Rev. Todd Coutta

Support Staff, Chaplin, & Certified Celebrant –

Reverend Todd Coutta is very proud to serve our families as Support Staff and Chaplain and began his career here in 1994.  Todd resides in Winchester and is thankful for his wife: Alanna, Daughters; Susie and Brianna, Step-Son: Brandon and twin Grand Daughters: Savanah and Makayla.

Todd enjoys helping people, fishing, kayaking, shooting and flying drones.  He is a board certified Pastoral Counselor and always counts it a privilege to chat with the kind folks he encounters on a daily basis.

Rev. Rudy Wilkinson

Support Staff & Chaplin

Brother Rudy currently serves as Greeter and Staff Chaplain for Moore-Cortner and has been with us since 2003. He is currently also the Pastor at “Way of The Cross” Baptist Church in Winchester and has been in the ministry for over 25 years.

Brother Rudy graduated from Tullahoma High School and currently lives in Tullahoma with his wife, Vechel Wilkinson. Together, they have two sons and one daughter. Brother Rudy enjoys woodworking and handshaking so be sure to stop by and give him the chance to shake your hand soon.

Pamela Jackson

Hostess (non-licensed)

Pamela Jackson is proud to serve our families as a Hostess. Her energized yet empathetic personality allows her to extend the Moore-Cortner difference to everyone she greets.

Pam is native to Winchester and is the proud Mother of Melanie Martin of Murfreesboro and Jeff Tate of Huntland. She attends church at Riva Lake Baptist and enjoys playing the piano and singing in a gospel quartet.

Michael Clark

Grounds Superintendent & Grave Services Manager (non-licensed)

“Mike” proudly serves as the Grounds Superintedent & Graves Services Manager. He has been in the funeral industry for over thirty years and has devoted a significant amount of that time to Moore-Cortner.

Mike is native to Franklin County and currently lives in Belvidere, TN and enjoys hunting.
